This page provides a summary of the steps required to help you get involved with the We Are Autistic community. Use the arrows to click navigate through the steps. There is also a link to the signup page and a link to more comprehensive instructions for setting up your membership.

    Become a Member

    This is the first and most important step! Click on any link that says Join Our Community and follow the simple series of steps to become a member. Membership is free for the first month. There are no contracts and you can cancel at any time.

    Set Up Account

    Once you have joined our community, you will be required to set up an account to enable you to comment and start making connections. You are able to edit your profile once it has been created. More details can be found in the Instructions.

    Read the Policies

    Before you start making conversations or asking questions, please read the Comment Policy. We want to ensure that this is a safe, supportive, inclusive, and welcoming community for everybody. A link to the policy can be found below.

    Please follow the prompts to download our app. This will provide you with improved performance of our website and better user experience. To help keep you updated, don't forget to allow notifications.

    Make Connections

    Head over to the Community Forum and introduce yourself! Say hello to other members and start making those valuable connections. You can react to posts and comments and start making friends with autistic adults all over the world.

    Share Your Autism

    Browse through the Designated Spaces section and see what special interests other members have. Celebrate our creativity and see how cute our companion animals are. Then get involved yourself Become a contributor!

    Stay Involved & Updated

    Now it's time to keep the conversations going. Check back for any new threads. Give support where you can. Share your lived and living experience. Ask for support when you need it. Be an active member in your community.
